View All Critic Reviews Dec 08, Certainly a different sort of movie, and a lot of people call it Zombie's best. Honestly, I like it about the same as House of 1, Corpses.
I have the same problems with it as I did with its predecessor, that being that the grotesque pleasure it takes in human cruelty becomes hard to tolerate at times.
However, at other times there is a genuine creativity in its cruelty and even an art to it's horror.
Its final moments are almost beautiful. The fact that it shows these psychopaths in their murderous moments as inhuman monsters giving terrifying monologues but also just shooting the shit and eating ice cream is kind of intriguing.
It's brilliant and also horrifying, which I guess is the point, even if it is hard to tolerate at times. It's good, even when it's hard to stomach.

Ich finde die Bösewichte hier einfach nur total sympathisch, egal wie grausam, abartig und abscheulich sie doch eigentlich sind, sie werden von den charismatischen Darstellern so toll verkörpert, Stefan Kretschmar als verletzlich und familiär dargestellt und haben mich einfach auf ihre Seite gezogen.
